Convenor

Keith Underdown

Keith is one of the UK's most experienced Information Architects. His career in IT began in the late 1960's. Although Keith does not focus on a single industry, he has a particularly strong track record in financial and insurance organisations.

His technical experience includes programming real time psychology experiments, VME operating system design at ICL, leading the operational design of a major new banking suite and developing corporate, group-wide information architectures.

In the context of Information Quality Management, Keith has been a Quality Circle leader, looking at the production environment for VME developments. He has worked on several customer data cleansing projects, which has given him a good insight into the vagaries of naming conventions and the structure of postal addresses, perhaps more complex in the UK than anywhere else. He is also an accomplished KALIDO Business Model Architect.

He has assisted the Board of the IAIDQ in a series of Strategic Planning workshops in 2005 and is taking a lead role in the formation of several of the emerging Communities of Practice within the IAIDQ membership.

He has spoken at various conferences and seminars including the IQ Network Forum in Dublin in October 2005 and was International Keynote speaker at the Enterprise Data Quality Conference in Sydney at the end of November 2005. He has also spoken at University Seminars on Information Architectures.
